About the Choir

Reflections Concert Choir began in the summer of 1997 as Reflections Home School Choir with 11 members from the Arlington/Fort Worth area.  The program now has four choirs from ages 6 to adult with over 100 participants. Snapshots is our beginning choir for ages 6-8. Early Images is our preparatory choir for ages 9-12. Reflections consists of students 13 and up, while Impressions Chorale is for those 18 and up. Begun for former Reflections students, Impressions now includes parents of choir students as well.

Whether it be the message of Christ’s Love in the fall, the special emphasis on Christ’s Resurrection in the Easter season, announcing our Savior’s Birth at Christmas, or reminding our Nation of their spiritual heritage through our Patriotic program; You will find the choir uplifting the name and message of Jesus Christ at many different Churches, banquets, retirement homes and other events around the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.

Our Music

Reflections prepares a seasonal repertoire of music for our programs. In the spring, we have a sacred program that has a special emphasis on Christ’s resurrection, switching in the late spring to a patriotic program for memorial day. In the fall, we have a program that focuses on the love of Christ and the characteristics of God. We also have a Christmas program that we present for the holiday season.

Our Director

Craig Armstrong and his wife Gayle, homeschooled their four daughters beginning in 1984. They are all married now, and 5 of their 8 grandchildren are currently being homeschooled. Mr. Armstrong has his own piano tuning and repair business, “Piano Dynamics”. He is the Minister of Music at Bastrop Bible Church in Bastrop, Texas and currently teaches private voice, piano and guitar lessons. The family resides in Fort Worth.

Mr. Armstrong’s education in church music was at Dallas Baptist University where he graduated in 1978. Over the last 33 years he has directed children, youth, adult choirs, bell choirs, ensembles, and orchestras in Christian schools and local Churches. Mr. Armstrong has directed a city-wide youth choir, taken choirs on tour and on missions trips, as well as performed at various civic events.

Mr. Armstrong’s primary desire in directing The Reflections Concert Choir, Early Images and Snapshots Preparatory Choirs, and Impressions Chorale is to give the students of home educating families, and the graduates of home educating families the opportunity to develop musically and spiritually by singing non-compromising music and being an example to others of youth that no man will despise. (I Timothy 4:12)
